William Donnison Ford

William Donnison Ford (1779 - October 1, 1833) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Herkimer County, New York, Ford was educated at Fairfield Seminary, New York.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar in 1809 and commenced practice in Fairfield, New York.He served as member of the State assembly in 1816 and 1817.He was appointed commissioner to perform duties of judge of the supreme court in 1817.He moved to Watertown, New York, in 1817 and continued the practice of law.

Ford was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Sixteenth Congress (March 4, 1819-March 3, 1821).He was not a candidate for reelection in 1820 to the Seventeenth Congress.He resumed the practice of his profession in Watertown, New York.He served as district attorney of Jefferson County and also as master of chancery. Trustee of the village of Watertown in 1827.He moved to Sackets Harbor, New York, about 1830, and died there October 1, 1833.He was interred in the Village Cemetery.
