Parkend Station is the northern terminus of the Dean Forest Railway at present. It opened in December 2005 and then was officially opened on Friday 19th May 2006 by HRH the Princess Royal.

Diesel Railcars ran the service in December 2005 and Steam services have ran into Parkend since Saturday 25th March 2006.
