Maria Elena R. Enriquez

Maria Elena R. Enriquez is an active trial lawyer and medical practitioner in the Philippines. She is one of the few doctors-turned-lawyers in the country.

Early life and education

Enriquez was born in 1953. She attended the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, the oldest medical school in the country, and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1978. She passed the Physicians Licensure Examination, the board exams for Filipino doctors administered by the Professional Regulation Commission, in 1979. Career

After medical school, Enriquez practiced medicine and anesthesiology in several hospitals and clinics in Metro Manila for several years.
