Escape is an XM Satellite Radio available on XM channel 78 and DirecTV channel 820 [ [http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/comparePackages.jsp?tab=1&assetId=500012 DirecTV channel list] . Retrieved on 2007-10-12] . XM describes the channel as "Easy, Instrumental and vocal favorites and the great popular melodies popular over the last sixty years" and primarily airs artists who received airtime in the 50s-70s. Escape plays a beautiful music format featuring music from such artists as Andy Williams, Henry Mancini, Chet Atkins, Anne Murray, Bert Kaempfert, Neil Diamond, and Percy Faith. The program director for Escape is Marlin Taylor.

XM had previously featured the beautiful music format on Sunny, channel 24. In early 2006, the Sunny channel, programmed by Clear Channel Communications, changed formats and started airing commercial interruptions as the result of an arbitration settlement with Clear Channel. Due to the format change of Sunny and the commercial interruptions, XM created the XM Escape channel in a commercial-free and enhanced "beautiful music" format that is much more instrumental than the old Sunny channel was before its format change.
