Eden Hindu Hostel

Government Eden Hindu Hostel was established in the year 1886. Though primarily built for the hindu students of Presidency College now the hostel door is open for students of any religion. [1] This is the hostel for the students who come from outside Calcutta to study in the Presidency College,Moulana Azad College,Sanskrit College and Goenka College.The Hostel location is just behind Dwarbhanga Building of Calcutta University,College Street campus.The hostel address is 3,Peary Charan Sarkar Street, Kolkata 700073.

The list of ex-boarders of this hostel include the first president of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad [2] , Professor Amartya Sen, Professor Sukhomoy Chakrabarty, poet Binay Majumdar, Pradip Ghosh and many others.
