Sherihan or Sherihan Ahmed Abdel-Fatah Al-Shalakani. (Arabic: شريهان), (b. December 6, 1964), is an Egyptian actress, dancer and singer.

Biography

Family

Sherihan comes from the Khorshid’s family, a family well known for their talent and interest in the entertainment field. She was a talented child by nature. Her mother Mrs. Awatef Hashem, who died in 1987, and her brother popular actor and guitarist late Omar Khourshid who died in 1981, gave her lots of support, in order to be a big star in the show biz one day. Also Shery (her nick name) has two sisters, Gihan, the widow of Fayez El Zomor, and Hwaida, the wife of director Karim Diaa El Din.

Early life

In 1977, Sherihan was asked to act in her first movie. She was still 13 years old and played in the film the granddaughter of Farid Shawky and the niece of Nour El-Sherif and Pousy. In a TV series shot in 1978 called ‘El-Mo'geza’ or the miracle (Arabic: المعجزة), Sherihan showed the audience her talent as a little actress, singer and dancer.
