December 27 1968 ,Goshen, New York ) is an Americanbaseball coach and the current head coach of theFlorida Gators baseball team. He accepted the position on June 13, 2007. He spent the previous nine seasons as pitching coach and, later, associate head coach for the
Clemson Tigers . During his tenure at Clemson, twenty-nine of thepitcher s he'd coached had been selected in theMLB Draft .O'Sullivan was a
catcher during his playing days. In college he played for two years atFlorida Community College at Jacksonville and another two at Virginia where he was a member of the1991 ACC Baseball Tournament All-Tournament Team. He earned a bachelor degree insports medicine from Virginia. He also has a master degree in Exercise Science and Wellness fromFlorida Atlantic University .In his first season the Gators finished 3rd in the SEC and played in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional . His record was an impressive 6-6 versus teams that eventually reached the College World Series.
