- A. G. Hopkins
Anthony G. Hopkins (February 21, 1938–) is a British historian.
Dr. Hopkins is a historian of
imperialism , and has made significant contributions to the study ofglobalization and world history. In 1996 he was elected to theBritish Academy Fellowship. He has served as Professor of Economic History at theUniversity of Birmingham ; Smuts Professor of Commonwealth History at theUniversity of Cambridge (1994-2002), and was Emeritus Fellow ofPembroke College, Cambridge . As of 2002, he is the Walter Prescott Webb Professor of History at theUniversity of Texas at Austin .Bibliography
