Thando Mngomeni (born February 11 1983 in Cape Town, Western Cape) is a South African football (soccer) midfielder-cum-winger for Premier Soccer League club Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa.The lanky Mngomeni can play central midfield or as a left winger. He is a free kick specialist with a deadly left foot.

Mngomeni spend a season and a half in Sweden with Helsingborgs IF and made 29 appearances before returning to South Africa claiming he could not cope.He has been instramental in Santos good performances during the 2007/08 season and has been linked with Mamelodi Sundowns

He is the younger brother of former Orlando Pirates and South African international Thabo Mngomeni.

He transferred to Mamelodi Sundowns on the 23 June 2008 in a swop deal taking Tyren Arendse back to Engen Santos for his second spell at the club.
