Usman Irumpuzhi is a writer, cartoonist, and social worker from Kerala, India.

Mr. Usman Irumpuzhi lead his life as an expatriate worker in Jeddah and he shown his talents as a writer, cartoonist, journalist and social worker. Mr. Usman who hails from Kerala, India is working in Saudi Arabia since last 20 years .

He authored 7 books in Malayalam language include 1. “Arabian Vasanthangal” collection of features about Arabian life & Culture, (Mulberry books, Calicut) 2. “Ozhivukaala Durandangal” Collection of short stories - Bodhi books calicut 3. “Ormathettu” Collection of short stories - Mulberry books, calicut 4. “Koodanayumpol” Collection of short stories - Mulberry books 5. “Pravasathinte Pusthakam” Collection of Studies about Non-Resident Keralites (Pappiyon books) 6 Murikkullil Mazha peyyukayanu” Collection of short stories - Olive books calicut 7. Arabikkadalum Arabikkarayum Collection of Studies about Arabian life and culture (Mathrubhumi books)

Mr. Usman Irumbuzhi is honored with some Awards & Appreciation as given below:- 1. Asianet award for short story in 2003 (Asianet – Atlas award) 2. N.V. Krishna variyar award (Indo Arab Cultural center, Dubai) for short story collection “Ozhivukala Durandangal” 3. Vaikom Mohamed Basheer Memorial Award for book “Ozhivukala Durandangal” 4. “Koodanayumbol” won second prize for the Short story collection by Mithra vedi, Kerala. 5. Special Certificate and Momento from ;Kalikau Arts Lovers Association for presenting Literary experience at a Seminar held in Jeddah. 6. Trophy for best Coordinator, Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF) 7. Award of Sahrdaya kalavedi, Jubail for short story 2001 8. Won cash award in Quiz competition held by MSS, Jeddah.

Literary activities includes Writing Malayalam features in various Dailies and Periodicals, Writing short stories in various Periodicals, Published few Poems and features in English Language , Translated many articles and features for different News papers

He also Released one Audio Cassette of short stories, Presented Short stories on All India Radio, as well as in literary gatherings. He Presented papers on Culture, Literature etc. in some seminars
