Olbrychowski is a right-handed pitcher for the Pepperdine Waves. He currently wears the number 33, and he has pitched three seasons for the Waves, both as a
starting pitcher and in thebullpen . Adam worked mainly in the bullpen in 2005; however he was moved to the starting rotation in 2006, which is where he stayed for 2006 and 2007. Olbrychowski has a great arm and good velocity to his pitches, throwing a low-90'sfastball that can reach upeards of 95 miles per hour. He can also throw aslider and achangeup ; however he has been known to be inconsistent.2007 fifth rounder for the New York Yankees
High school career
IN his four years at Cleveland High School, Olbrychowski earned a letter each year. In his senior year he went a solid 5-0 with a 0.21 ERA, striking out 61 batters in 32 ⅔
innings . As a junior he earned all-league honors, and he was the starting right fielder for the 2002 Los Angeles City Champions. Olbrychowski was also named to the "Los Angeles Times "' 2004 "Players to Watch" list.(to be continued...)
