- IChase
iChase is a summary list used by
EMI Music to track progress of their forthcoming product through Apple's iTunes ingestion process. It includes DICPN, Apple ID, product name, type and release date and matches these against the various lists that Apple provide, including hidden reports, error reports and their weekly live list. The original iChase list was devised and invented by John-Paul Harold of EMI Music UK and Ireland, and was used to chart local UK release schedules against the aforementioned iTunes lists. The list evolved through consultation with key digital sales strategists, such as Duane Roft, and grew into a World class reporting tool. Latterly, however, the concept has been adopted by EMI's Global Digital Operations department to reconcile and chart recently delivered items from all of EMI's repertoire owners for a given delivery cycle.
A recent presentation made to the EMI Operational Board of Directors claimed that the iChase list and concept thereof was invented by Gemma Moorby of Global Digital Operations. This is factually incorrect, and casts slander on the good name and forward thinking work of John-Paul Harold.
