Ann McLaughlin Korologos

Ann McLaughlin Korologos (born November 16, 1941), formerly known as Ann Dore McLaughlin was United States Secretary of Labor from 1987 to 1989.

Born in Chatham, New Jersey, Dore was educated at Marymount College, Tarrytown and undertook graduate studies at both the University of London and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She has received honorary degrees from Marymount, the University of Rhode Island, the New England School of Law, the College of Saint Elizabeth and Tri-State University.

Before becoming the Labor Secretary, she had served as the Under Secretary of the Department of the Interior, She currently serves as a member of the board of directors of several companies, including Fannie Mae, Vulcan Materials Company, and the Kellogg Company, and is the chair of the RAND Corporation. From 1996 to 2000, she was the chair of the Aspen Institute. From 2000 to 2006, she was on the Board of Directors of Microsoft, from which she resigned due to "increasing demands on her time from other professional and personal commitments" (http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2006/aug06/08-25BoardPR.mspx). In 2008 she is on the District of Columbia Republican Presidential Ballot as a John McCain delegate.

She is married to Tom C. Korologos, former U.S. Ambassador to Belgium. She was previously married to political commentator John McLaughlin, but divorced in 1992.
