Ann McLaughlin Korologos (born
November 16 ,1941 ), formerly known as Ann Dore McLaughlin wasUnited States Secretary of Labor from 1987 to 1989.Born in
Chatham, New Jersey , Dore was educated atMarymount College, Tarrytown and undertook graduate studies at both theUniversity of London and theWharton School at theUniversity of Pennsylvania . She has received honorary degrees from Marymount, theUniversity of Rhode Island , theNew England School of Law , theCollege of Saint Elizabeth andTri-State University .Before becoming the Labor Secretary, she had served as the Under Secretary of the
Department of the Interior , She currently serves as a member of theboard of directors of several companies, includingFannie Mae ,Vulcan Materials Company , and theKellogg Company , and is the chair of theRAND Corporation . From 1996 to 2000, she was the chair of theAspen Institute . From 2000 to 2006, she was on the Board of Directors ofMicrosoft , from which she resigned due to "increasing demands on her time from other professional and personal commitments" (http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2006/aug06/08-25BoardPR.mspx). In 2008 she is on the District of Columbia Republican Presidential Ballot as aJohn McCain delegate.She is married to
