Andrei Folbert

Andrei Folbert (born January 6, 1931) was the captain of the Romanian basketball team.

For 25 years he was the captain of the Romanian National Team. Meanwhile he played for Steaua Bucharest (former CCA) and won 16 National Championships.He was the most valuable player Romania had to offer. Giving his unique talent and ability to drible the ball, he was called by his fans "The Hope"."The Hope" was romania's most prolific player who confirmed for more then 25 years.At the European Championship in 1955 he was choosen as part of Europe's MVP Team.
