Jeff Christy is a catcher in the Minnesota Twins organization, currently playing for the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings in the International League. He has a brother and 2 sisters who are quadruplets.

High school

Jeff played at Lincoln Southeast High School. As a senior he hit a .430 batting average with 4 home runs and 41 RBIs. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 49th round of the 2002 MLB Draft but he turned them down and went to college to play at Barton County Community College.

College

As a freshman Jeff hit .333 with 5 home runs and 34 RBIs. As a sophomore in 2004 he hit .390 with 6 home runs, and 45 RBIs. he threw out 40% of would-be base runners and committed only 1 error in 375 chances helping his team go 37-18 and a 2nd place conference finish. After a great junior college career, he transferred to Nebraska to play and start as catcher. In 2005, he was part of the 2005 College World Series team. He set a school record with 64 starts behind the plate, hitting a .236 batting average, 32 RBIs and only 1 home run. he had a team high 12 sacrifices. Jeff threw out 46% of the opposing base runners. In the NCAA Tournament he threw out 8 of 11 runners on defense and in all 13 postseason games he hit a .293 average, including .277 in the CWS on offense. Minor league
