Peter Kenez

Peter Kenez is a historian specializing in Russian history and Eastern Europe. He also teaches courses on Soviet cinema and an interdisciplinary course on the Holocaust with literature professor Maury Baumgarten. He has taught at the University of California, Santa Cruz since it opened in 1965.

He received his PhD from Harvard where his advisor was Richard Pipes.
