Next album =The Dark Ages (EP) is an album by Equation, with lead singer
Kathryn Roberts .This EP has folk-rock versions of 5 folk-songs, with Kathryn Roberts taking the lead on all songs. The instrumental arrangements are quite subtle as the introductions never resemble the main tune in any obvious way. "Drummer Won My Love" is "A Blacksmith Courted Me", but with the lyrics changed to become a love song for a drummer in a band. This track was also issued on the compilation album "Street Cries" (2001), produced by
Ashley Hutchings . The final hidden track does not sound like a folk tune. Running time 20 minutes 56 seconds. Recorded at The Firs, England. Released in 2001.Personnel
The line-up is not given on the sleeve, but according to their website it's Kathryn Roberts (vocals), Sean Lakeman (guitar),
Seth Lakeman (violin, vocals), Darren Edwards (bass), Iain Goodall (drums), James Crocker (electric guitar). It sounds as if there is a clarinet on track 2.Track listing
