Tiszaörs - 1846,Eger ) was a Hungarian painter andteacher best known for his portrait of the Sister and Brother.Following his studies in
Vienna , upon the invitation ofFerenc Kazinczy , the reformist thinker who supported his activities all along, he returned to Hungary in 1808 where he taught art in the town ofEger from 1817.He painted manyaltar pictures andallegorical compositions on mythological figures and themes including the (Leda and the Swan, 1810 and The House of Peace in 1820. His well-known works include the portraits of Kazinczy and his wife as well as his self-portrait.
