John Rosemond

John Rosemond

John Rosemond has authored 12 parenting books and writes a nationally syndicated column on parenting. On his website, he states that he earned a Masters degree from Western Illinois University.

Rosemond advocates what he calls a traditional disciplinary approach to parenting, a view that makes him both popular and controversial. He is known for his common sense approach to parenting that calls on adults to expect responsibility in children instead of making excuses for them. Some don't like his views on toilet training [ [http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,18716,00.html War of the Diapers] ] and spanking [ [http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1191825,00.html?iid=chix-sphere Is Spanking OK?] ] as they run counter to other parenting experts' recommendations.
