Lilliwaup, Washington

Lilliwaup is a small unincorporated community in Mason County, Washington, United States. It is located on US Highway 101 on the western shore of Hood Canal, where Lilliwaup Creek enters into the saltwater fjord.

A nearby fish hatchery keeps the local waters teeming with salmon, which draws fishing enthusiasts to the area in the fall.

A stairway provides public access to the round-rock beach, where picknicking, shellfish harvesting, fishing, and beachcombing are popular. Hood Canal oysters [http://www.oysterguide.com/maps/hood-canal-and-southern-puget-sound/gold-creek] plucked from the shores are a local favorite.
