Lawrence Wien (1905 – 1988) was an American
lawyer ,philanthropist andreal estate owner.Early life
Wien was born in
Manhattan ,New York City , and received his bachelors degree from Columbia College in 1925 and his law degree fromColumbia Law School in 1927.Career
Wien served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at
Brandeis University and Vice Chairman ofLincoln Center for the Performing Arts .He was also a Trustee of
Columbia University from 1966 to 1972.Named after Lawrence Wien
