Paul Dean was the founding member and main songwriter of early 1970s rock band Jerusalem produced and managed by Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. The band was considered far ahead of its time and remains a cult band to this day. He went on to form the three piece band Pussy also managed and produced by Ian Gillan and although they recorded an album, only the single 'Feline Woman' was released on the Deram label in 1973. He also worked with Ian for a number of years helping to run a number of Ian's other business interests. His last recording was the Gillan/Dean album "Rocks On" released in 1984 Thunderbolt Records. This was with Ian's sister Pauline Gillan. He has lived all over the World since then and has continued to help other musicians whenever possible. Whilst living in Africa he took up golf and within three years turned professional. He is also a fully qualified golf coach and has played in many competitions as well as the EPD and Senior Professional Golf Challenge Tours in Europe. He is still active in the Music Industry and golf worldwide. At one time he also had small parts in various feature films such as Reign of Fire (double for Gerry Butler - Creedy), Count of Monte Cristo, Veronica Guerin, The Actors.
