DJ Console Mk2

The DJ Console Mk2 is the second generation Dual deck DJ Mixer with integrated audio to play, mix and create DJ music manufactured by Hercules (corporation).DJ Console MK2 combines a DJ control surface and a DJing audio interface in 1 case, connected to the computer via a USB port.

DJ Console MK2 was released in 2 versions:
- DJ Console MK2 standard version includes VirtualDJ 3 DJC Edition, a DJ mix software tailored for DJ Console MK2 and developed by Atomix Productions (website: http://www.virtualdj.com)

DJ Console MK2 comes with :
- audio drivers for the audio record & playback (WDM and Asio in Windows XP and Windows Vista, CoreAudio in Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5)
- MIDI drivers for the control surface (MIDI In/Out in Windows XP and Windows Vista, CoreMIDI in Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5

Hardware

DJ Console MK2 is a dual-deck controller with:

Audio features
- 2 line/phono inputs, to mix with analogue audio (or with timecoded vinyles)
- 2 stereo outputs
- Headphones monitoring to prepare the next music track you will play
- Microphone input to talk over the music

Control surface
- 2 vinyl-style jog wheels for spinning and scratching
- 1 crossfader for mixing between the two decks
- 2 volume sliders
- 2 pitch knobs + 2 pitch bend buttons
- 2 x 4 buttons to control software playback (Play / Cue / Next / Previous for each deck)
- 2 x 3 equalizer knobs
- 2 x 3 buttons for effects
- 2 x 2 buttons to control the tempo (Auto-Beat and Master tempo for each deck)
- 1 ministick with 2 buttons emulating a mouse to navigate within any menu
- 2 buttons to select the audio source on the deck.
