Reuben Robie

Reuben Robie (July 15, 1799 - January 21, 1872) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Corinth, Vermont, Robie attended the common schools. At the age of twenty moved to Bath, New York.He engaged in mercantile pursuits in 1822. Town clerk 1825-1830. Supervisor in 1831 and 1832.He was appointed postmaster in 1837, holding the office for four years. Treasurer of Steuben County 1844-1847.

Robie was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853).He was not a candidate for renomination in 1852.He resumed mercantile pursuits in Bath, New York, where he died January 21, 1872.He was interred in Grove Cemetery.
