Shaftsbury, Vermont , Dwinell attended a local private school andWilliams College .He was graduated fromYale College in 1808.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar in 1811 and commenced practice inCazenovia, New York , the same year.He served as member of the State assembly in 1821 and 1822.Dwinell was elected as a Crawford Democratic-Republican to the Eighteenth Congress (
March 4 ,1823 -March 3 ,1825 ).He was not a candidate for renomination.He resumed the practice of law.He served as judge of the common pleas court ofMadison County, New York from 1828 to 1833.He served as district attorney of Madison County 1837-1845.He died inCazenovia, New York ,September 17 ,1850 .He was interred in Evergreen Cemetery.References
