Jacob Tyson (October 81773 - July 161848) was a United States Representative from New York.

Tyson was Born in Staten Island, New York on October 81773, Tyson attended the common schools. He moved to Richmond, New York. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, and practiced law. He became Supervisor of the town of Castletown, Richmond County from 1811 to 1821. He served as judge of Richmond County 1822 - 1840.

Tyson was elected as a Crawford Democratic-Republican to the 18th United States Congress (March 41823 - March 31825). He served as member of the New York State Senate in 1828. He died in Staten Island, New York on July 161848. He was interred in the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church Cemetery, Port Richmond, Staten Island, New York.
