Peter Grzybowski

Peter Grzybowski (born 1954 Kraków, Poland) is a multimedia and performance artist and a painter. Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (ASP). Graduated 1982. First performances completed 1981, individual and with Awacs Group (1982-87) and KONGER (1984-1986) (see The history of Polish performance art). Since 1985 has lived in the USA.

His paintings imitate objects such as photographs, boards, marble and metal plates. With Małgorzata Kaźmierczak he is also a co-founder (currently a Vice-President) of the Foundation for the Promotion of Performance Art "Kesher" in Kraków (Poland).
