Ronald Brooks Cameron (
August 16 ,1927 -February 1 ,2006 ) was a U.S. Representative fromCalifornia's 25th congressional district .Born in
Kansas City, Missouri , Cameron graduated fromWestern Reserve Academy ,Hudson, Ohio , 1945.He attendedCase Western Reserve University ,Cleveland, Ohio from 1946 to 1947, andUCLA from 1949 to 1953. He received a J.D.,Pepperdine University School of Law,Malibu, California , 1973.He was in theUnited States Marine Corps from 1945 to 1946.Cameron became a certified public accountant in 1954. He served as member of the California state assembly from 1958 to 1962, and was delegate to the 1960 and 1964
Democratic National Convention s.Cameron was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and to the succeeding Congress (
January 3 ,1963 -January 3 ,1967 ). He was defeated for re-election to the Ninetieth Congress in 1966. He resumed practice as an accountant and attorney. In 1970, he was the Democratic nominee for California state comptroller.He died on
