Belfalls Electric Cooperative Association was a rural
utility cooperative headquartered inRosebud, Texas .The cooperative was formed in 1936. Prior to its end as a separate entity, the cooperative currently served 5,206 meters with 1,441 miles of line.
The cooperative's territory included portions of Bell, Falls, and Milam counties, all located in
Central Texas . The cooperative's name was aportmanteau of Bell and Falls counties.On July 1, 2007, the cooperative's members voted to merge with
McLennan County Electric Cooperative ; the combined entity began operations under the nameHeart of Texas Electric Cooperative with the main office inMcGregor, Texas (the location of the McLennan offices) and the Rosebud office becoming a branch office.External links
