- Seada Palavrić
Seada Palavrić is a current Judge of the
Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina .She was born in
Tuzla on10 November 1954 . She graduated from the Faculty of Law at theUniversity of Sarajevo in 1984 and passed the bar exam in 1995. Upon completion of her studies, she began working as a legal consultant in the company “Termoelektrana” Tuzla and afterwards as a senior legal consultant for representation and property affairs. In the period from 1993 to 2002 she was appointed District Labour Inspector and a Secretary of Tuzla District Assembly. She held the position of Secretary of Tuzla-Podrinje Canton Assembly and Cantonal Attorney of Tuzla-Podrinje. She also held the position of Assistant to the Minister of Justice ofFederation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and FB&H Government’s Liaison Officer to the Human Rights Commission for Bosnia and Herzegovina andOmbudsman for B&H. From 1996 to 2002 she was a representative in the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament and from 2002 to 2005 she was a representative in the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliament. On6 December 2005 she was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.She participated in a number of round tables, conferences, seminars, study trips, public hearings dealing with the topic of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, organized by local and international non-governmental organizations and governmental bodies, OSCE, European Parliament. She was a member of the FB&H expert team involved in Dobrinja Arbitration in accordance with the Decision of the High Representative for B&H and a member of the High Representative’s Commission for Amendments to the Constitution of FB&H, established after the adoption of B&H Constitutional Court’s Decision on Constituent Peoples. She published numerous professional articles in "Pravni savjetnik", issued by the Civil Society Promotion Centre.
