HMS H13 was a
British H class submarine built byFore River Yard ,Quincy ,Massachusetts . She was laid down on an unknown date and was commissioned in 1918.HMS "H13" along with
HMS H11 ,HMS H12 andHMS H14 toHMS H20 were all built in America but were interned byWashington until theUSA entered World War 1.HMS "H13" was not commissioned by the
Royal Navy , instead, she andHMS H16 toHMS H20 were transferred to theChilean Navy as some recompense for the inconvenience of purchasing two of the Chilean Navy's 28,000 ton dreadnoughts (Almirante Latorre and Almirante Cochrane). Her new name: "Guacolda" (H2)."Guacolda" was possibly scrapped (?) in the late 1940s.
