"Prazdnik svyatogo Yorgena" ("St. Jorgens's Day", "Holiday of St. Jorgen", "The Feast of St. Jorgen", _ru. Праздник Святого Йоргена) is a 1930 Soviet black and white silent film by Yakov Protazanov (also famous for Aelita) based on the novel by Harald Bergstedt. Cues written by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov with the additional value of Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky who was not included into the final credits. Music by Sergei Boguslavsky.

Plot summary

Before one of the church holiday a thief Korkis (A. Ktorov) escapes from the prison and merges with the parish. He sees a vast amount of money that is settling in the clergymans pockets. Korkis can not hold out of another venture… Together with an accomplice (I.Ilyinsky) they conceives and realizes a fraud to extract at least a small part of that money out of their pockets.
