Rezolution

Rezolution

"Rezolution" is a tabletop miniatures wargame set in the future where chaos rules and the only people standing against it are the Central Security Organization. Rezolution is played more similarly to Warmachine or "Warhammer 40k", than to "Warhammer Fantasy", as you control a large group of singular men [or women, or aliens, or robots ect.] rather than several large tightly bunched groups.

Plot

Earth has become a dystopian nightmare, ruled by corrupt corporations and self-serving politicians, where the wealthy elite live in sealed cities to protect themselves from the ravages of the outside world.

In the outer cities and wastelands gangs rule the streets with an iron fist, while worse terrors lurk in the dark corners of the earth.

Industrial espionage has reached unprecedented levels, where small teams of elite warriors infiltrate rival companies to steal or spread mayhem, fighting in the real and virtual world. These invisible wars rage unopposed from the streets of Earth to the mountains of Mars in a deadly game of winner takes all.

A new phase in the evolution of mankind has begun, though shunned by many and branded mutants, their numbers are growing.

The embattled forces of order, desperately trying to achieve peace and stability throughout the system, while fighting the corruption from within.

Something has been discovered on Mars, as humanity teeters on the brink of interstellar civil war.

But man has not abandoned his pioneering spirit and thirst for knowledge; huge colony ships have spread throughout the stars searching for new worlds and intelligent life.

Not knowing it has already found us...

Factions

There are 5 factions to choose from in "Rezolution". Note: the Ronin are a mercenary force, so it's soldiers can be used in any army, but they can also used as a real force:

;The CSO

The field arm of Unipol, the Central Security Organization, operates as the world’s military and judiciary force, and its mandate covers everything from investigating corporate and street crime to keeping members safe from rogue nations. Though they often find themselves at odds with Unipol bureaucrats and face a conspiracy of corruption because there are those within the organization who would bury cases rather than risk losing their funding, they will sometimes take the law into their own hands to carry out justice. The CSO are the last hope for justice and order in a deadly universe. Part detective, part policeman and all soldier, the CSO will hold the thin blue line at any cost.

;APAC

Asia-Pacific, the world’s first incorporated state, blend honor and tradition with state-of- the-art technology. APAC not only dominate the world of business, but also the invisible conflicts that wage across the system. As one of the most targeted entities for espionage and sabotage, their forces are some of the largest and best equipped, while it is rumored their ‘internal security force’ is greater in number than the CSO’s standing force. The APAC ops crews are deadly fighters and combined with the explosive psychic powers of the Arashi almost unstoppable.

;The Dravani

The Dravani arrived on earth ‘somewhat accidentally’ centuries ago and have lived (and fed!) while disguising their true nature from man. Over the years they have built an Empire but, though powerful, are still few compared to the billions swarming around them. They know humanity would not look kindly upon them, so they have adapted and used man against himself, as it can only be a matter of time before they are revealed to humanity. The Dravani have existed amongst man for millennia, fighting for their races survival, they exist in our legends and our deepest fears, while we exist as their prey…

;The Ronin

The Ronin are the third party: invisibles, blanks. They don’t exist within the system and, therefore, make ideal operatives for those who wish to remain anonymous and avoid the wrath of the CSO, a government or a major corporation. Experts at their trade, and picked from the vicious street gangs that roam the outer cities, they are trained to become the ultimate operatives and combatants. Seen as modern day Robin Hoods by many, and as dangerous criminals and vigilantes by those in power and authority, the Ronin are yours to mold. You can assemble the force to your particular style of play and tactics as the Ronin are as individual as snowflakes with no two crews the same. Not only do they operate as an individual faction, but they can also be used as Mercs by the others.

;The Vatacina

They have watched and waited patiently down through the ages. Reading the signs and manipulating events, the Vatacina have placed their agents in positions of power until the time is right. With the coming of those with latent psychic powers over the last century, the Vatacina have gathered these gifted ‘craft’ users to them, though some have questioned the numbers who have been sheltered under the Vatacina’s protective wing as less a flock and more an army. Their time is now at hand...

Gameplay

Gameplay is a little bit of a mix between Warhamer, Warmachine, and D&D. It has phases, like Warhammer, each character has multiple wounds, like in Warmachine, and they use multiple dice and rulers like in D&D.
