discovery_status = ConfirmedHD 11964c is an
extrasolar planet approximately 111light-year s away in theconstellation ofCetus . The planet was discovered in a close-orbit around theyellow subgiant star HD 11964 , taking 1924day s to revolve around its parent sun. It hassemimajor axis of 3.46 AU andsemiminor axis of 3.46 AU. It has a circular orbit comparable toJupiter andSaturn in oursolar system . At periastron, the distance is 3.28 AU and at apastron, the distance is 3.64 AU. The planet's mass is about 0.77 times Jupiter.The planet was originally discovered in summer 2005, then the planet was disproven in early January 2006. However in May 2007, the planet is now proven by taking more precise measurements of the
radial velocity of thestar .References
