The music video for the song, featuring his current dancers "The Twinz" premiered on the Verizon website; yet it is not known currently when the video will be released [ [http://estore.vzwshop.com/prince/ Verizon Wireless ] ] . As the "Planet Earth" album is to be released with Columbia Records, who also released 2004's "Musicology", "Guitar" is likely to also be released by them.

The song was released to radio stations on June 11.
