Isobel Stanley

Isobel Stanley

Isobel Stanley (born 1875) was the daughter of former Governor General of Canada Lord Stanley of Preston.

Stanley shared her father's love of the game of hockey and was instrumental in the creation of the Stanley Cup. She played hockey while she was in Canada and was one of the first women to play the game in Canada
