Servít je vůl

“Servít je vůl”(literally "Servít is an ox", more roughly "Servít is a fool") were inscriptions in Czech language, which began to occure in 60's as a satirical joke, written by students. However later it became popular and even some modifications were widespread among people, who didn't even know, who Servít was. There are proofs of many appearances around the world.

Background

Original object of this action was exprofessor Radim Servít from Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague, who taught there elasticity and strength of materials in 60's and who was unpopular for his asperity in examination.
