Khartoum League

Khartoum League

Khartoum League is a famous historical championship in Sudan. The teams playing in it are those from the three cities of the capital Khartoum; Khartoum, Bahri, and Omdurman.

The most famous winners of Khartoum league were the two strong teams of Sudan, Al-Merrikh and Al-Hilal, they both won the championship 17 and 16 times respectively before their withdrawal in 1997. No team had exceeded the number of tiles of Al-Merreikh although al-Merreikh is no more a member in that league since early 1997.
