Kimberly Johnson is an American poet. She was born in 1971. Raised in
Salt Lake City ,Utah , she later earned graduate degrees from the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars, theIowa Writers' Workshop , andUC-Berkeley .Johnson teaches courses in creative writing and Renaissance literature at
Brigham Young University (BYU).Publications
Johnson's first collection of poetry, "Leviathan with a Hook", was published by Persea Books in 2002. In 2005, she was awarded a Creative Writing Fellowship from the
the National Endowment for the Arts to support the completion of her second collection, "A Metaphorical God," published by Persea in 2008.
