Sport 5 ( _he. ספורט 5, "Sport Hamesh"), also known as the Sports Channel ( _he. ערוץ הספורט, "Arutz HaSport") is an Israeli television station. Available for free on basic cable and satellite, the channel is devoted to sport, and broadcast game from La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), German football league, Winner League (Israel major basketball league), NBA matches and the UEFA Champions League. However, since the inception of its subsidiary channel titled Sport 5+ for which a subscription is charged, it has lost almost all of its notable content, [ [http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/811624.html Multichannel tyranny] Haaretz, 7 January 2007] , though it is still used to show UEFA Champions League matches in tandem with 5+.

In March 2007 the company launched two new channels, 5+ Live (for live sport) and 5+ Gold (repeats of classic sports action). The new channels followed with great criticism from viewers complaining about even more loss of content in favor of pay channels.
