Simon Crowcroft is the Constable of Saint Helier, Jersey.

Biography

Simon Crowcroft was awarded BA (Hons) in English from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University and a Diploma in Education from Westminster College, Oxford.

Simon founded the Jersey School of English in 1991 after a career in teaching English in Oxford and Jersey.

Political Life

He was elected to the States of Jersey - the Island's parliament - as a Deputy of St Helier in 1996 as a representative of St Helier Electoral district #2.

Alan Simon Crowcroft is currently the Connetable of St Helier. As head of the regional administration, the Municipality of the Parish of St Helier, he also represents the Parish in the States of Jersey.

He was first elected to the position in December 2001 defeating Constable Bob Le Brocq. He was re-elected unopposed in December 2004. In the constabular election held on 9 January 2008, he defeated Jersey Democratic Alliance candidate, Alvin Aaron.
