Context (convention)

The Context convention takes place every September or October in Columbus, Ohio; the convention is intended for readers and writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror literature with a secondary emphasis on fans and creators of SF/F/H movies, comics, manga, games and television shows. The convention offers an extensive track of writing workshops and writing-related panels, including panels related to writing for movies and interactive media.

The convention is run by the not-for-profit group FANACO and was founded in 1987.

Past guests of honor include Nancy Kress, Maureen McHugh, Mike Resnick, Gary A. Braunbeck, Ellen Datlow, Connie Willis, Robert J. Sawyer, and Tim Powers.
