Consider Yourself

"Consider Yourself" is a song from the 1960s original West End and Broadway musical Oliver! and the 1968 film of the same name. In the 1968 Oliver! film, it is performed in the market.

In popular culture

In 2007, Richard Fleeshman and the cast of Avenue Q performed a cover version for the charity album Over The Rainbow.

This song is one of many standards played at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan during a Red Wings game.

This song is also one of the staples of children's music, it having been performed by the Kidsongs Kids and VeggieTales.

This song was also sung in the pilot episode of Sesame Street when Gordon (who was then played by Matt Robinson) introduces us to the Anything Muppets. In the Sesame Street: Old School DVD, it is removed due to music rights issues.

The song was also included in the Edgar Bergen episode of The Muppet Show. Where The Muppets sang it to Charlie McCarthy.

A rearranged version of the song was used as the theme of the ITV sitcom Home to Roost.

They performed it on Big Brother.

It was played at Oliver Reed's funeral.
