April 4 ,1928 -July 30 ,1981 ) was an American racecar driver.Born in
Frazee, Minnesota , Tingelstad died of a heart attack inIndianapolis, Indiana . He drove in the USACChampionship Car series, racing in the 1960-1971 seasons with 120 starts, including theIndianapolis 500 in each year except 1961 and 1970. He finished in the top ten 56 times, with his one victory in 1966 at DuQuoin.Indy 500 results
