This is a list of highly-ranked international female
tennis players. To qualify for inclusion in this list, a player must satisfy at least one of the following notability criteria:* In singles, she must have reached the WTA Top 200 world rankings on or after January 1, 2000, or the WTA Top 100 world rankings before January 1, 2000, and the ranking must be verifiable.
* In doubles, she must have won at least one WTA ranking event.
* In singles, she must have reached at least the quarterfinals of at least one Grand Slam tournament before the inception of the WTA world rankings system.
