Sverre ØkshoffSeigmen was a Norwegian
alternative rock band in the 1990s. The bandname is derived from a Norwegian brand of (sweet) candies, "Seigmenn". The band went from a hard-edged grunge-like style to a more dynamic sound with more ambient parts and use of synthesizers and various audio-effects. They broke up in 1999 after a farewell tour.Seigmen reunited during the
UKA -festival in Trondheim, Norway onOctober 20 2005 , and decided in November2005 to do even more reunion-gigs in Norway — 7 shows in February2006 . Having great success with the reunion-tour, they did six more gigs at various festivals across Norway during the summer of 2006, most of them as the headlining act.Media appearances as of Summer 2006 revealed that Seigmen did not exclude another reunion sometime in the future. Early 2008 it was surprisingly announced that Seigmen will play live yet again at
Oslo Opera House June 21 2008 as one of the shows celebrating of the opening of the New National Opera House in Oslo. Selling out the show quickly, a second concert have been set up the day after, June 22.Members
