Renate Gietl

Renate Gietl (born January 10, 1982) is an Italian luger who has competed since 1997. A natural track luger, she won five medals at the FIL World Luge Natural Track Championships with two medals in women's singles (Silver: 2001, Bronze: 2005) and three medals in the mixed team event (Silver: 2007), Bronze: 2003, 2005).

Gietl also earned two bronzes in the women's singles event at the FIL European Luge Natural Track Championships (2006, 2008).
