The movies were merchandised on the first gondola at the front of the store and were visible through the front window. Movie-Quik stocked approximately 200 titles in each store. There was a small machine made by Cevaxs at the checkout counter that the store clerk used to checkin and checkout movies to the customers. Movie-Quik and 7-Eleven stores, were part of Southland's convenience stores along with their auto parts chain, Chief Auto Parts, later spun off to GE. The company was based in Dallas, Texas.
