"Safety Glass" is an upcoming comedy/drama film.

Synopsis

When a reporter is sent to cover the Challenger Space Shuttle launch, he soon becomes entangled in the lives of some local troubled students. The film wrapped in mid-December 2007. Parts of the film are of John Oliver Secondary School, and Templeton Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C.

Trivia

An all-star cast will frontline “Safety Glass”, a new drama set around the time of the space shuttle Challenger tragedy.

The film, co-written by Jonathan Glatzer & Robert Lawson and directed by Glatzer, will be seen through the eyes of a reporter who's sent to cover the Space Shuttle launch only to become mixed up in the lives of some local high schoolers.

Steve Coogan, the lead in the film, also serves as the executive producer.

The film recently wrapped, having been shot in Vancouver and environs - and is slated for a late 2008 release.

Some scenes were filmed at Templeton Secondary School and John Oliver Secondary.

Sound clips of the marching band were performed by ConVal Regional High School band.
