Tall and physically imposing with a long face and deep baritone voice, he specialized in macabre or off-beat roles.Wexler made his film debut in the Bowery Boys 1952 comedy "Feudin' Fools". His most noteworthy film appearances included the 1954
film noir thriller "Suddenly" as local deputy sheriff Clem Adams gunned down by a would-be presidential assassin and as thesupervillain Captain Seas in the 1975adventure film .Wexler also appeared in such television series as "The Rifleman", "Gunsmoke", and "Death Valley Days". For Disney’s 1961
